Coweta Works 2024!

The Newnan Chapter of CSI, Inc. had the pleasure of volunteering to assist in numerous capacities—sorting sling bags, checking in guests, guiding students tours, participating as a vendor, helping with lunch or the hospitality suite. No job was too large or small of Team CSI!!!

What is Coweta Works? I thought you’d never ask. Coweta Works is an interactive expo for all the 8th grade students in Coweta County public schools, homeschools, online schools and some privates too. Over 2200 students visited the expo which was in person the first time in three years due to the pandemic. The students experienced careers in healthcare, advanced manufacturing, automotive technology, public safety, agribusiness, energy and utilities, construction and much, much more! Our own Newnan CSI member and PR Chair, Volita Almon, chaired the Coweta Works Committee. This project is a collaboration between the Newnan Coweta Chamber, Coweta County School System, Central Educational Center, West Georgia Technical College, and University of West Georgia. The dates are being set for Coweta Works January 2025 so stay tuned!
